Shooting-related hunting accidents in Wisconsin remain rare, but the majority result from violations of basic firearm safety rules, state officials say.

A Post-Crescent Media review of Department of Natural Resources records from 2012 and earlier this year show common trends among incidents in which someone is injured or killed by the discharge of a firearm or arrow.
