Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media following Fridayís practice. Here are some highlights from his news conference:

Injury report

QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone, out), CB Casey Hayward (hamstring, out), LB Nick Perry (foot/ankle, DNP, out), DL Johnny Jolly (groin, doubtful), CB James Nixon (knee, DNP, out), CB Micah Hyde (groin, probable), DL Ryan Pickett (knee, probable), LB/DL Mike Neal (abdomen, probable), T Don Barclay (knee, DNP, out), LB Clay Matthews (thumb, probable), C EDS (knee, probable), LB Andy Mulumba (ankle, probable), CB Sam Shields (hamstring, questionable)

-If you go back through the big plays of the last time, when we had coverage over the top there was help. If you asked the receivers, they might say they could break a tackle but when ball is in the air, it was unusual to hit that many big ones without it being a touchdown.

-Aaron Rodgers threw a little bit today.

-Micah Hyde, I feel pretty confident heís going to go. Itís something thatís been bothering him.

-Sam Shields, itís been up-and-down. Weíll see how it goes. We have 48 hours is the way we look at it.

-Adrian Peterson, itís this time of year. You look at both injury reports. Everybody has injuries.

-Johnny Jolly has played very good football for us. This is something thatís been hanging with him all week. Everyone understands we need to win this week. You also have to look at turnaround for next week. Johnny will be challenged

-Erin Henderson definitely plays down hill and itís an aggressive front-7. Schematically, I donít see them changing a whole lot.

-Urgency is part of your DNA, part of your everyday makeup. Thereís a lot of things. Itís building. We understand what our record is. This is a moment, one opportunity. Weíre focused on Sunday. Itís about winning. Weíre not doing any extra power points. I just look for energy in the common areas.

-We stayed inside today.

-Morgan Burnett, it depends on the call. We want more plays out of our defense, period. Thereís only so many opportunities to get your hands on the ball. You have to make the most out of the opportunities. Itís something weíre working on collectively. We have to start making more plays on the ball.
