Your favorite storybook characters will come to life Tuesday at the 43rd annual Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade.

"We try to mix it up every year," parade chair Greg Otis said, "with some kind of Christmas theme."

"A Storybook Christmas" gets under way at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of State Street and College Avenue, heading east on College to Drew Street. An annual tradition for many, the parade is the unofficial opening of the Christmas season in the Fox Valley. ...
