Shoppers camped outside stores Thursday evening, and regardless of what they thought about Black Friday creeping into Thanksgiving, all agreed the allure of the perfect shopping deal was too much to resist.

Tents outside retails stores were a common sight in the Stevens Point area Thursday as folks geared up for sales and people dressed in layers warmed their hands on portable heaters and found ways to pass the time until stores opened. Several stores in the area opened as Thanksgiving dinners still were settling in stomachs, including Best Buy at 6 p.m. and Target two hours later.
