The free-falling Green Bay Packers would like nothing more than to see Aaron Rodgers return against the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 8. But is it realistic?

The Packers' quarterback told ESPN before Thursday's humiliating 40-10 loss to the Detroit Lions that he's hoping to play, but coach Mike McCarthy wasn't making any promises during his Monday morning news conference.

By the time the Falcons arrive at Lambeau Field, it will have been 34 days since Rodgers fractured his collarbone on the opening series of a 27-20 loss Nov. 4 to the Chicago Bears. ...
