Neither skunks nor snakes could keep Carl Morrison from his appointed rounds astride a bicycle.

But contrary to the mail carriers' intrepid creed, monsoon rains and televised football were a different story. And snow and sleet would have done the job eventually, too.

Still, Morrison, 55, of rural Sturgeon Bay could anoint himself the Cal Ripken Jr. of cycling after recently ending a run of 208 consecutive days and 12,555 miles aboard his bike.
