House fire in Green Bay causes $140,000 damage, kills two dogs

Three people were displaced and a west-side Green Bay home sustained $140,000 in fire damage Sunday afternoon.

The fire started in the kitchen of the home at 2462 Oakwood Drive, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department said. No was one home at the time of the fire, which was was reported about 4:50 p.m.

Two dogs died in the blaze, which caused extensive fire and heat damage throughout the residence. Fire officials said occupants of the home are staying with relatives. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Brown County online land records show the property is owned by Jessica Allen and is valued at $148,700.
