Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers displayed some zip on the ball as he threw short to intermediate passes during individual drills at practice on Wednesday.

Rodgers took snaps from centers J.C. Tretter and Garth Gerhart while Matt Flynn took snaps from starter Evan Dietrich-Smith, an indication that Flynn is the Packers' starting quarterback until further notice.

Rodgers didn't move around a lot during the individual quarterback drills but did a lot of quick drops.

Only two players didn't practice Wednesday: outside linebacker Mike Neal (abdomen) and defensive lineman C.J. Wilson (ankle).

Dietrich-Smith returned after going out of Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions with a knee injury. He put a brace on the knee before participating in individual drills.

Also back in action were tight end Brandon Bostick (concussion) and linebacker Jamari Lattimore (quadriceps).

There was intermittent rain in Green Bay, so the Packers practiced inside the Don Hutson Center.

Coach Mike McCarthy was scheduled to speak to the media at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
