Mom pulls child from Brinamwood Elementary School over bullying

She says Witt-Birn officials did little to help her son

The mother of an autistic kindergartner has pulled the boy out of Birnamwood Elementary School because she believes the school has been lax in its supervision during recess and has allowed the boy to be bullied.

Lauren Barrett, 24, of Birnamwood decided to home-school her son Christopher after a string of incidents at school that she said endangered Christopher. Among other things, she said she witnessed other children pushing him down, kicking him and dragging him through a pile of woodchips.
