A former D.C. Everest student accused of leading a violent protest at an Iron County mining site is set to face trial.

Katie Kloth, 26, of Weston was bound over for trial Nov. 19 on charges of robbery by the use of force, theft and criminal damage to property after being arrested in connection with a violent protest at the Gogebic Taconite mining site in Iron County.

Kloth was in court Nov. 19 for a preliminary hearing, where Iron County Circuit Judge Patrick Madden set a Dec. 16 court date for formal charges. ...
