Girls basketball: Vikings fall to Blue Devils, 60-42

The Oconto Blue Devils took a 23-point halftime lead and went on to beat Gibraltar, 60-42, in a Packerland Conference high school girls basketball game Tuesday night in Oconto.

Carli Meyer made four of the Blue Devils' nine 3-point baskets on her way to leading the team with 19 points, while Laken James added 15 and Emily Shallow chipped in 12, also with four 3s.

Lauren Kita buried five 3s to lead Gibraltar with 19 points, four of them in the fourth quarter, when the Vikings scored 22 of their 42 points. Makenna Ash added 15, but just two other players got onto the scoresheet for the shorthanded ...
