Boys basketball: Vikings beat Pioneers for first win

It was a struggle at times, but Gibraltar won its first game of the high school boys basketball season Tuesday night.

The Vikings pieced together a 13-0 run between the second and third quarters to gain control and beat a scrappy Sevastopol team, 59-43, in a Packerland Conference game in Fish Creek.

"I thought we had a decent second quarter and a good third quarter," said Vikings coach Kent Sitte. "I was a little disappointed with the beginning of the game and the fourth quarter. I didn't think we finished the game off the way I would have liked. Luckily, we built enough of a lead in the third quarter ...
