Reader question: I see construction in the 2700 block of W. College near Re/Max. Any word on what’s going on there?

Answer: According to Grand Chute records, it is going to be a car dealership owned by KF Properties of Appleton and Kolosso Enterprise, doing business as Kolosso Chrysler Jeep Dodge. It’s listed at 2801 W. College Ave., across the street from WG&R Furniture.

“They’ll be moving to this site around early summer of next year,” said Cary Nate, chief building inspector for the town.

Kolosso Chrysler Jeep Dodge currently operates at a leased site several blocks away at 2445 W. College Ave. in Grand Chute.

The site plan filed with the town shows a nearly 50,000-square-foot building on the spot where Advance Auto Parts had been torn down last year at 2703 W. College Ave. That’s where site preparations are going on now between the existing Kolosso Used Car Center and the former Russ Darrow Chrysler building on that block. All three properties are owned by KF Properties.

The site plan indicates that existing commercial buildings on the site will be demolished with the exception of a body shop facing Lawrence Street.
