We've heard from our readers. We've mulled and talked and argued about who should be the 2013 Daily Herald Media Person of the Year.
And on Thursday night, we'll reveal the winner.
The Person of the Year is a person of impact, and we heard from a lot of you about who you think it ought to be. We can't wait to reveal our choice, and to unveil the finalists who made major contributions to our community this year.
Here's the plan:
Thursday evening: Full coverage on our website, live from our event to honor our five finalists. Follow along with us on Twitter using @wausauherald or @CWOpinions, or read our coverage at www.wausaudailyherald.com after 6 p.m. that night, when we'll be reporting live from a reception that will honor the finalists.
Friday: In Friday's print edition, read our profiles of the five finalists. On our website, you'll be able to watch video interviews with them about how their efforts made an impact on the community.
Saturday: We'll highlight some of the special contributions of nominees whose work in many cases may have flown beneath the radar.
Sunday: And in our Sunday editions, we'll have full coverage of the group of winners, including a list of "10 Who Made a Difference," an in-depth profile of our winner and a full list of all the nominees and the reasons they were nominated.
We can tell you now: It's an impressive list, and it is fun to see the breadth of the different types of contributions these local individuals have made.
Join us online Thursday evening and in print on Friday to find out who won.
