JC Tretter knows exactly how an offseason of inactivity can afford you plenty of time for mental reps.

Since breaking his ankle on the first day of organized team activities last May, the Green Bay Packers rookie offensive lineman has done most of his learning in the classroom rather than being a participant at practice.

On Tuesday morning, the 6-foot-3, 300-pound Tretter was activated to the 53-man roster from the physically unable to perform list, a goal he's slowly been working toward for the better portion of seven months. ...
