A new K-9 officer will be coming to Wausau, thanks to a $13,000 grant from a star player on one of Green Bay's rival football teams.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced today the eighth grant of the 2013-2014 football season from the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation at The Giving Back Fund. The foundation will distribute a grant to the Wausau Police Department to buy and train a new K-9, according to a news release issued Thursday.

The news was announced just days before Roethlisburger visits Wisconsin to play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon. ...
