A De Pere man will serve five years in prison for his role in a six-week burglary spree of convenience stores, taverns and other businesses in Oconto, Brown and Marinette counties last year.

Richard T. Michiels, 22, will then serve four years extended supervision, Oconto County Circuit Court Judge Michael T. Judge decided this week. Judge made Michiels eligible for either of two prison programs that could reduce the time he spends incarcerated.
