Letters to the editor: Another great Christmas Carol Sing at Grand Opera House

3:08 PM, Dec. 18, 2013  |  Comments

I am writing on behalf of the Executive Committee and the members of the Oshkosh Area Community Band to thank the community for its support of the 28th Annual Christmas Carol Sing at the Grand Opera House.

The Madrigal Singers from Lourdes High School, Oshkosh North High School and Oshkosh West High School donated their time along with the band so that the event could have free admission. A long-standing tradition, the collection of a free-will offering to benefit those less fortunate in our community, brought in $1,479 for the Day by Day Warming Shelter in Oshkosh.

All of this would not have been possible without our community partners. The Grand Opera House; ALS Printing; WOSH; Oshkosh Northwestern; Friends of Oshkosh Community Media; Tom Hanson; and Gretchen Herrmann all donated materials and/or services for the benefit of the event.

Thanks again to all who attended and participated.

Stan Kline, president
