'Organizational decision' keeps Rodgers out for 7th straight game

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy declared quarterback Aaron Rodgers out for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and left no doubt it was an organizational decision.

"He's not medically cleared," McCarthy said at his Friday news conference. "That's still the case today. But as an organization, we don't feel that this is the right time for him to play."

Nine times during his 5-minute session with the media McCarthy referred to the Rodgers decision as coming from the Packers organization, an indication the coach didn't have final say on the matter. ...
