Basketball

Registration for Wisconsin Blizzard 2014 AAU basketball teams for boys and girls high school players will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Players Choice of the Fox Cities in Appleton. There will be a short parents informational meeting. Returning players/parents do not need to attend but must register online at www.wisconsinblizzard.com as soon as possible to reserve their spots. Football

The Green Bay Blizzard will hold its only open tryout of the 2014 season on Saturday, Jan. 18, and Sunday, Jan. 19, at Synergy Fields in Green Bay. The tryout will begin with late registration at 5 p.m. on Jan. 18. Testing will begin at 6 p.m. and will consist of the 20-yard dash, 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical broad jump and "L" agility drills. On Jan. 19, the morning session will run from 6 to 10 a.m. All registrations before 4:30 p.m on Jan. 17 are $50. All late registration fees will be $70. Payments can be made by credit card or cash. Completed registration forms can be mailed to 1901 S. Oneida St., Green Bay, WI 54304, emailed to office@greenbayblizzard.com or faxed to 920-405-1221. For more information, call 920-405-1264.
