McCarthy said team will make Rodgers decision sooner rather than later this week

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy left open the possibility quarterback Aaron Rodgers could play against the Chicago Bears in the regular-season finale and said the organization will make a decision before Friday.

The Packers play at Chicago on Sunday in a winner-take-all battle for the NFC North championship, so a return by Rodgers from his broken collarbone would provide a major boost for a Green Bay team that has compiled a 2-5-1 record without its starting quarterback.
