Though there was nothing definitive, the small signs from Packers practice Thursday suggest that Aaron Rodgers might be back this week.

The Packers did no team drills during the portion of practice open to reporters, but Rodgers took the first rep in all the small-group drills that usually go to the starting quarterback.

Rodgers had a bounce in his step and had good body language also.

Coach Mike McCarthy has a post-practice press conference scheduled for about 1:15, when he might announce whether Rodgers is going to be back from his broken collarbone this week after missing seven games and most of an eighth.

Four players sat out today’s padded practice: Running back Eddie Lacy (ankle), outside linebacker Clay Matthews (thumb), inside linebacker Brad Jones (ankle) and tight end Ryan Taylor (unknown).
