Fire victim believed to be mother of teenage girls

The person killed in an early-morning fire at a Weston mobile home Monday is believed to have been the mother of two teenage girls who escaped the blaze unharmed.

Authorities have not identified the victim because of the condition of the remains, Everest Metro Police Chief Wally Sparks said in a news release. Sparks said the body was taken to Madison for an autopsy, and DNA testing will be used to confirm identification.
