Community Weight Race 2014 continues focus on developing healthy lifestyles

Vivian Bemowski said the numbers on the scale aren't the reason she participates in the Community Weight Race.

The annual event, now in its seventh year, is a 15-week competition offered through Ministry Health Care that challenges teams of three to five members to lose weight and create healthy lifestyle routines. Weekly presentations on health and exercise and physical challenges are offered to participants, and awards are given for meeting weight loss goals individually and as teams.
