The trial of a Wausau woman accused of torturing her boyfriend's dog to death likely will be delayed again because a prosecutor in the case has a scheduling conflict.

Sean D. Janas, 21, was scheduled to be tried in January on felony animal abuse charges, but Marathon County Circuit Court Judge Greg Grau reluctantly agreed Monday that the matter might have to be rescheduled for at least the third time.

Grau said he would allow the trial to be delayed only if it can be rescheduled before the end of March; if it cannot, the four-day trial will begin as planned on Jan. 21, he said. ...
