Notebook: Banjo optimistic about staying with Packers

The Green Bay Packers have yet to offer a contract to exclusive-rights free agent Chris Banjo, but the agent for the rookie safety believes the team will do so before the start of the new league year in March.

Banjo, 23, signed a one-year deal with the Packers on July 29 and was one of three undrafted rookies to make the team's 53-man roster out of training camp. He appeared in all 16 games and had 19 tackles and two pass deflections in 457 snaps.
