Numbers rise in Fox Cities homeless count

Volunteers who conducted this week's "point-in-time" homeless count tallied more people experiencing homelessness in the Fox Cities than in 2013.

Preliminary numbers show that about 350 people were counted as homeless in the overnight count organized by the Fox Cities Housing Coalition, said Chris Lashock, client services coordinator at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley.

Last year's January count was 301, he said. ...
