January won't make Green Bay's cold-weather record book this year, but that doesn't mean it wasn't awfully cold.

You've got to go back to January 2009 to find anything comparable, and even though that month was 1.4 degrees colder overall, its lowest recorded temperature only tied the coldest day this year, minus 21, which happened Jan. 9 this year and Jan. 13, 2009. You've got to go back to Dec. 25, 2000, to find a day that got colder in Green Bay.
