Guest commentary: Climate change as a human function remains in doubt

This is a response to Steven Griffith's recent HTR commentary, "Climate change and cold spells can co-exist." Mr. Griffith presented a well-reasoned article, as a science teacher should. He urges people to think long term and not to jump to conclusions based on short-term phenomena. All good ideas. In his final paragraph he states, "Climate change is real, it is happening, and it is caused by human activity adding greenhouse gases to our atmosphere."

That's where he loses me. I do not dispute that global climate change is happening, but there is still much dispute in the scientific community ...
