Goodell: Redskins name 'honorable to Native Americans'

The Washington Redskins nickname has been presented "in a way that is honorable to Native Americans," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday in New York.

During his address on the state of the league, Goodell was asked about how the controversy over the team's name has ramped up this past year. His stance and the team's stance are known. What is not known, however, is whether Goodell would feel comfortable addressing an American Indian as a "Redskin" to his or her face?
