Jolly wins Packers' Ed Block Courage Award

Feb. 3, 2014

The Packers chose Johnny Jolly as their Ed Block Courage Award winner for the 2013 season.

Every NFL team chooses its winner by player vote to honor one who exemplifies commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage.

Jolly, a defensive lineman, rekindled his NFL career by making the Packers’ roster in 2013 after missing the previous three seasons because of a drug suspension. He and the other 31 recipients will be honored at a banquet on March 17 in Baltimore.

Jolly sustained a neck injury that ended his season in December. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in March.
