A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service worker pulls in a lake sturgeon. Fish and Wildlife project leader Mark Holey will give a talk on fish restoration efforts on the Great Lakes in a Maritime Speaker Series program Feb. 6 at the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay.
The Maritime Speaker Series at the Door County Maritime Museum continues Feb. 6, with a presentation on federal fish management by Mark Holey, project leader for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Office in Green Bay.
Topics of Holey's presentation include the effort to restore lake trout, lake sturgeon and deepwater ciscos and implementation of mass marking of trout and salmon in Lake Michigan and Great Lakes. As is the practice for every Speaker Series program, time will be set aside for questions at the end of the presentation.
