Historical society invites audience participation at its photo shows

Photos are the semblance of memories of those young and old, and with the exception of a few framed on walls of homes and office desks, past photos are often tucked away in boxes or albums.

Knowing the importance of photos and history, several members of the De Pere Historical Society took their love of their city out into the community.

The historical society holds photo shows every few months, and the next one will be a milestone for the event. The 11th anniversary of the photo shows will be commemorated Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the West De Pere High School auditorium, 665 Grant St. ...
