Mike McCarthy is taking a new tack with the Green Bay Packers' special teams.

The Packers' head coach on Friday announced the hiring of four new assistant coaches and the reassignment of five others, and the most eye-catching was his addition of Ron Zook as a special teams assistant.

That position normally goes to a younger coach early in his NFL career, but McCarthy chose to replace recently fired Chad Morton with a 59-year old who is the former head coach at the University of Florida and the University of Illinois, and a former defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator in the NFL. ...
