Those words are more than lyrics to a 1988 Bobby McFerrin song. The four words could save people from suffering a broken heart, a real medical condition also called stress-induced cardiomyopathy or takotsubo cardiomyopathy.

In Japanese, the word "takotsubo" means "fishing pot for trapping octopus"; the left ventricle of the heart in someone who has the condition resembles the shape of the pot. ...
