Kinnard Farms Inc. facing permit challenge

A contested case hearing is scheduled in Green Bay this week in connection with the permit that would allows a Kewaunee County dairy farm to expand its concentrated animal feeding operation.

At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Feb. 11, five petitioners will make arguments in a case hearing at the City Council chambers in Green Bay City Hall, stating that the plans for the Kinnard Farms Inc. expansion in the town of Lincoln does not adequately protect surface and groundwater from the dairy's production and disposal of 70 million gallons of liquid manure and waste.
