City Council members continued to review Monday night at their Personnel Committee meeting the details of a job classification and compensation study performed by a Madison consulting firm.

One particular position drew particular scrutiny considering Carlson Dettmann is recommending the pay for the city's human resource generalist would be increased by some $30,000.

Jeri Johnson's current base pay is $25.97 per hour and the Madison-based consultants are recommending the job requirements and responsibilities justify a minimum of $40.34 per hour. ...
