Ten libraries in the Sheboygan area - as well as hundreds of others across the state - are slated to receive faster Internet connections by next fall due to a $4.2 million federal grant in fiber broadband connectivity.
Crews will begin digging this spring to install fiber optic cables that will deliver more bandwidth and faster Internet speeds to library computers. The $4 million grant is paying for the upgrades at about 300 libraries across Wisconsin, according to the state Department of Public Instruction.
