Bowling column: Bowler rolls his first 300 in county tournament

After this past weekend, Bill Kroll might well be thinking about bowling more often at the Sister Bay Bowl.

Kroll ventured up north Sunday and rolled his first career 300 game in the team event of the Door County USBC Tournament. I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it yet, but I'm betting it's been quite a stretch since he last bowled there - if ever.

Kroll's perfect game was the third of this year's tournament, and the seventh of the season after a slower than normal start. In fact, five of the seven have come in the past three weeks or so. ...
