Feb. 11, 1947 - Pick officers at Shorewood: Lee McFadin was elected president of the Shorewood Country Club at the 18th annual meeting of the club's stockholders at the courthouse Monday night. Bob Carstenson was named vice-president; Larry Kaiser treasurer; and Walter Herrmann secretary.

New director chosen for a three-year term was C.M. Berard, in addition to George Biebel and Gideon Kane, who have served as directors since the organization was formed, and were renamed to three-year terms. Retiring President Dan Nystrand will continue to serve as director along with Karl Feldhausen, George Wagner, Jack Van Oss, Kaiser and Herrmann.

Shorewood officials reported that they are looking forward to a successful season. Various improvements have been in progress since late last fall.
