Participants take heart in frigid Valentine Run/Walk

Bundled up in all kinds of layers from head to toe, runners and walkers head north on Broadway in downtown De Pere at the start of the ninth annual Seroogy's Valentine Run/Walk on Saturday morning, Feb. 8. The event attracted about 1,500 participants despite bitterly cold temperatures. Tyler Sigl of Green Bay won the 15-kilometer race with a time of 47 minutes, 59.26 seconds, and Nicole Strutz of Two Rivers was the top female finisher with a time of 1:03:39.96. Mark Jasper won the 5K race with a time of 17 minutes, 6.54 seconds, and Calena Morehead of Oshkosh was the top female finisher with a time of 21:15.18.
