County panel moves ahead on new jail

Two contracts that get Oconto County's Law Enforcement Center project underway have been approved by the Law Enforcement/Judiciary Committee.

Under the current timeline, design of the center and property acquisition should both be completed around July 2015.

"Hopefully they will meet at the end and we'll be ready to go" forward with construction, administrative coordinator Kevin Hamann said at the committee's Feb. 5 meeting. ...
