Mosinee, Weston ask residents to run water to keep pipes from freezing

The continued frigid weather and sinking frost layer are starting to take their toll on municipal water systems.

The city of Mosinee last week directed all its water customers to immediately start running a stream of water in their homes and businesses to keep water lines from freezing.

In the village of Weston, officials called an impromptu news conference Feb. 5 to give residents an update on the village's water situation. ...
