Girl Scout collects clothes to go for gold

In the past few years, no Girl Scouts in Algoma have stayed with the program long enough to receive the Girl Scout Gold Award, an equivalent to an Eagle Scout Award. Today, Rayanne Racine, member of Algoma Troop 4355 and a senior at Algoma High School, is working toward obtaining the award.

To receive the Gold Award, Racine needed to come up with a community service project that would continue to give back, even after she graduates.
