Southern Door advanced to the second round of the high school boys basketball tournament, but it wasn't easy.

The Eagles made several big plays with time running out and held on to beat the New Holstein Huskies, 59-56, Tuesday night in a Division 3 regional opener at Southern Door. The Eagles (13-9) advance to play Valders (19-3) in a regional semifinal game at 7 p.m. Friday in Valders.
