Skyward sponsors CTO clinic

STEVENS POINT - On Sunday, Skyward, a Stevens Point-based K-12 school administrative software provider, will have a hand in the convergence of chief technology officers statewide for a professional development event.

Hosted by the Consortium for School Networking and the Wisconsin Educational Technology Leaders, the 2014 Wisconsin CTO Clinic will be held at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.

The clinic will offer in-depth professional development for technology leaders and decisionmakers that focuses on strengthening the CTO skill set and leadership. Educator panels and presentations throughout the day will address the role of district technology leaders in developing transformative learning environments. The Wisconsin event is the first in a series of seven 2014 CTO clinics held nationwide.

"We strongly believe in supporting our customers, and that includes the nearly 400 districts in Wisconsin," said Ray Ackerlund, vice president of marketing and product management for Skyward. "Through its CTO clinics, CoSN empowers educational leaders to leverage technology to create and grow engaging learning environments, and we are proud to be a part of such a valuable local event."

Registration for the 2014 Wisconsin CTO Clinic is free and open to all who wish to attend. The event will begin with a networking lunch in the Cypress Room at noon Sunday. For more information about the clinic, visit www.cosn.org/events/2014-wisconsin-cto-clinic.
