Ken Anselment, dean of admissions and financial aid at Lawrence University in Appleton, will be a guest Monday on Bloomberg TV's "Taking Stock" program with host Pimm Fox. The program airs from 4 to 5 p.m.

Anselment will be in the network's Washington, D.C., bureau to discuss with Bloomberg higher education reporter Janet Lorin the challenges some college admissions offices face in the recruitment of students from the Midwest, given a shrinking pool of high school graduates in the region.

Nationally, 2012 was the first in a wave of declines in the number of high school graduates. Over the next two decades, the biggest drop in graduates will occur in the Midwest and the Northeast.

Anselment was previously interviewed for a recent story Lorin wrote for Bloomberg News on colleges' efforts to attract freshman applications from a small number of high school graduates.
