Despite frigid weather and roadways that resemble snow labyrinths, ice cream season in central Wisconsin has officially begun.

King Cone opened Friday in Plover, and Belts' Soft Serve is prepping for its opener at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The snow and cold rarely stop ice cream enthusiasts in Wisconsin - folks camped out in front of Belts' for as long as two days before the 2013 opener, and King Cone had a line Friday that stretched the length of the store when it opened at noon. ...
