No two-way, east-west traffic for downtown De Pere: The De Pere Plan Commission eliminated one of three options for traffic flow improvement and changes in the westside downtown district. The eliminated option would have restored two-way traffic to Main Avenue and Reid Street. (Friday, Feb. 28, 2014)

Main Avenue on the city's near-west-side is going to change, but any alterations won't include two-way traffic on that drag or Reid Street.

And that has Dennis Larson a bit relieved.

"It would have been atrociously bad," said Larson, owner of Stowe Drugs, 375 Main Ave. "The flow is so much better this way." ...
