The Packers have the fifth most salary cap room this year at $33.1 million, according to Tom Pelissero of USA Today.

The figure is based on NFLPA salary information and is for the top 51 contracts on the roster, which are used to calculate a team’s cap total until the start of the regular season.

The Oakland Raiders, whose general manager is former Packers executive Reggie McKenzie, have the most cap room at $65 million, which is nearly double the Packers’ total. They’re followed by Jacksonville ($56.1 million), Cleveland ($47.4 million) and Miami ($39.1 million).

The free-agent negotiating period begins March 8, and players can begin signing with other teams March 11.
